Full Body Portrait - 4 Strobe Assignment -

 

Building on last weeks Rembrandt assignment you and your group are to use the materials presented in class (listed below) along with a white background and model to produce images of a standing full body portrait. Use same lighting techniques to establish your key and secondary fill light on your standing subject. The difference being that instead of using 1 light to light the background, this week you are to evenly light the white background using 2 lights with umbrellas (as shown in class).

                           White Lightning Monohead with

                           CStands and Stands

                        - Reciever Transiever Radio slaves

                        - Sand Bags

                        - Extension cord. 

                        - Flex Fill Expandable Reflector

                        - 2 Umbrellas

                        - 2 Soft Box 

                        - 2 Foamcore VFlats

INSTRUCTIONS:

Set up white background w/ sweep, and set up Model dress, props, materials. Paying attention to creative placeing posing and choice of dress for the model. 

 

IMPORTANT: As we did in class when setting up lights shoot exposures of the evenly lit white background FirstThen step by step capture images progession showing directional Key light, Secondary fill light in combination with the white background fill. As listed below:

 

           Shoot 3 Shots:

            1. Establishment of White

                Background Light

            2. Directional rembrant Key light

            3. Combination Key light, Second (fill)

 

Remeber to use foamcore VFlats as gobos (as Diagram below shows).            

 

Assignment will be graded on composition, creativity and proper use of exposure (histogram). Jobs should be rotated so each member of the group is able to shoot, light and set up.

- Download and edit images produced keeping them in their Raw format. To be handed in only in digital .DNG form next class.

NOTE: Submit your specific lighting diagram image in, by screen capture from: www.lightingdiagram.com.

 

This will be mandatory for every assignment from now on.
